Η περιοχή Πηγάδι που βρίσκεται στον Πτελεό είναι ένα τέλειο παράδειγμα της παραδοσιακής ελληνικής ζωής, και τίποτα δεν έχει αλλάξει την απλότητα και ηρεμία της μέσα στα χρόνια.
Το Πηγάδι συνδυάζει την υπέροχη θέα σε βουνό και θάλασσα. Η μοναδική του ακτή με τα ήρεμα και κρυστάλλινα νερά θα κάνει τον επισκέπτη να σκεφτεί– και απολύτως δικαιολογημένα – ότι βρίσκεται δίπλα σε λίμνη. Ακριβώς αυτή η ηρεμία και ζεστασιά καθώς και η απλότητα των κατοίκων που προσδίδει στο Πηγάδι την μαγευτική και γοητευτική ποιότητα.
Ο τουρισμός δεν χάλασε σχεδόν καθόλου αυτό το πλούσιο σε ελιές ψαροχώρι. Το πηγάδι δεν έχει μεγάλα τουριστικά συγκροτήματα, δεν έχει τις τυπικές “Αγγλικές πάμπ” ούτε συνδέεται με “πακέτα διακοπών” άλλων προορισμών. Στο πηγάδι θα βρείτε αυθεντικές ταβέρνες, και φυσικά θα έχετε την τύχη να γευτείτε φρέσκα ψάρια από τους ντόπιους ψαράδες της περιοχής, οι περισσότεροι μάλιστα είναι και ιδιοκτήτες αυτών.

Pigadi and it’s neighboring town Pteleos are perfect examples of traditional Greek life that have changed little in it’s simplicity over the years.
Sheltered by a unique coastline which gives both stunning mountain views and crystal clear waters, you would be forgiven for thinking, while sitting at one of the shoreline tavernas, that you were beside a lake.
And it is this tranquility, and the warm, easy going attitude of it’s residents, that gives Pigadi it’s magical, charming quality.
Predominantly an olive growing and fishing community, the area has had to sacrifice little of it’s character for the sake of tourism. Although, understandably favored in the summer by many Greek urbanites, Pigadi has no high rise apartments, no ‘English pubs’ and no ‘package holiday’ feel so synonymous with Greek destinations.
Instead you will find authentic tavernas, serving only fresh produce, fished or farmed locally, often by the owners themselves. The area has a few well-organised beach bars and of course you can enjoy your cocktails at night in the local bars.
The area offers a wide range of activities such as sailing, wind-surfing, sightseeing, one day cruise to Skiathos and Skopelos, where movie ''Mama Mia'' was filmed.
Although it is a large area of agricultural land, the village and the historical sites on the area make it possible to get to know Greece in depth, and of course, it is also important to mention its spectacular beaches.
